Process Engineering

Meeting your Process Technology & Production Requirements

Process Engineering Principles

Bilfinger UK understand the challenges faced by our customers in the process industries. Whether it be compliance with strict regulations, reducing waste and energy use, sustainability or digitalisation; common approaches can help our customers to focus on what they know and do best, their process technology and production requirements.

We can add value and achieve this by applying general process engineering principles to support the process technology in terms of flowsheeting, unit operation design, flow networks, regulatory compliance and process safety. Our process engineering team carry out a full range of process engineering activities over the full process lifecycle. For capital projects and process improvements, we start with concept design/research and can take that design through feasibility, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design.

We can support the operation of the plant from initial commissioning to carrying out trouble shooting, quality improvement and compliance update reporting. We use a range of tools and techniques to support our design activities including process simulation software (Aspentech), fluid flow calculators and physical property estimation/generation. Where the customer has a need for advice or support in their operations we can provide the above services, singularly, or on a consultancy basis.
