Bilfinger Salamis Danmark awarded €40 million inspection contract for Total Danish assets

Leading operations, maintenance and asset integrity contractor Bilfinger Salamis Danmark has secured a new €40 million contract with Total E&P Denmark (Exploration & Production) to provide inspection services for the energy company’s’ assets in the Danish North Sea.

The five-year agreement, which will commence in July 2021 and has two one-year extension options, will see the business provide conventional and advanced non-destructive testing (ANDT) services. Bilfinger Salamis Danmark is a filial of leading operations and maintenance contractor Bilfinger Salamis UK. The contract will be delivered from the company’s office in Esbjerg, Denmark.

The contract win continues a successful period of growth for Bilfinger Salamis’s inspection service line, which includes Bilfinger Salamis UK’s recent multi-million-pound agreement with Altera Infrastructure Production AS for its North Sea assets.

Dr David Hall, Operations Director for Inspection at Bilfinger Salamis, said: “This award is a fantastic success story for our team in Esbjerg following our launch in Denmark just over three years ago and represents the single largest offshore inspection contract in the country.

“We have a track record and reputation for delivering the highest standards of service safety and efficiency in the North Sea and our multi-disciplinary teams will work to ensure the integrity of Total’s Danish assets.

“Our inspection business is strengthening, and this win follows two recent contract successes in Denmark making our business one of the country’s largest providers of offshore non-destructive testing inspection services. This success is testament to the commitment and expertise of our team in Denmark with the support of our people in Aberdeen.”
