Process Safety Hazard Studies

Process Hazard Analysis

Process safety starts with process hazard analysis. We can provide a whole suite of studies to suit your requirements, including: initial screening, major scenario identification/Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) through to construction, hand over and ongoing operational review (HS6).

We carry out risk assessment using appropriate techniques of flowchart, LOPA (Layers of Protection Analysis) or QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment) as appropriate to the consequences and risk, to determine the SIL (Safety Integrity Level) required for control/automation engineers to carry out functional safety design.

 

Assessments & Studies

We carry out Dangerous Substances Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR) assessments to generate hazardous area drawings and specify level of protection required for electrical, instrumentation and mechanical installations.

We carry out Pressure Protection Studies to define relief requirements, select devices and carry out sizing calculations.

We carry out Human Factors Studies, fault tree analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), and incident evaluation and action implementation support.
